Post Pre-Season NFL Power Rankings

  1. Bills

The Bills were 13 seconds away from making it to the AFC championship game last season. The Bills had the best defense in the NFL last season, and the addition of Von Miller will only improve their defense. I believe that Josh Allen will have an MVP-caliber season this year. This is why the Bills are the best team in the NFL.

  1. Bengals

The Bengals were the NFL’s biggest surprise last season, by not only making the playoffs after a four-win season the year before but also a Super Bowl appearance. In only his second season Joe Burrow became a top 5 Quarterback and in Ja’Marr Chase’s rookie season he was a top 5 Wide Receiver. I believe that connection will carry over to this year, and the Bengals will be a contender for the Super Bowl once again this year.

  1. Rams

Coming off a Super Bowl win, the Rams are looking to repeat. As long as the Rams have Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, and Matthew Stafford they will be looking to contend. Adding Allen Robinson to the wide receiver core may just be the move to put the Rams over the top and win another Super Bowl.

  1. Chargers

The Chargers could be a disappointment this season with all the hype surrounding them, but I believe in Justin Herbert’s ability to lead the Chargers to a deep playoff run. The addition of Khalil Mack can hurt their chances either.

  1. Packers

The Packers have had the first seed in the NFC for the past two years, while Aaron Rodgers has been the back-to-back MVP. The loss of Davante Adams won’t make it easier for the Packers to do well this season, but I believe that Aaron Rodgers will be good enough to make the Packers a contender once again this season.

  1. Chiefs

The loss of Tyreek Hill will make this the most challenging season of Patrick Mahomes’ career. I believe that Patrick Mahomes made Tyreek Hill more than Tyreek Hill made Patrick Mahomes. I believe that Patrick Mahomes will be able to make the best out of his new wide receiver core and be a top team in the NFL once again.

  1. Buccaneers

The biggest concern for the Buccaneers this year is their age. Being the oldest average team in the NFL. But, even at 45 years old, you can never bet against Tom Brady.

  1. Broncos

The Broncos were able to win 7 games last season with Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock as their quarterbacks during the season. With Russell Wilson as their quarterback, they should be one of the best teams in the NFL this season.

  1. Ravens

The Ravens started 8-3 last season, and at the time was the number one seed in the AFC. Injuries caused them to fall apart and missed the playoffs. I don’t see the Ravens having two seasons in a row ruined by injuries.

  1. Cowboys

The Cowboys did not get better this offseason, but they are the best team in the NFC East. Dak Prescott will be able to lead the Cowboys to enough wins to make the playoffs, but I don’t see them making it very far in the playoffs.

  1. Titans

The Titans let A.J. Brown and Julio Jones go without getting much in return. The biggest concern for the Titans has to be Derrick Henry’s foot injury. But, as long as Derrick Henry can stay healthy this season, the Titans should have no problem making the playoffs.

  1. Patriots

I don’t see the Patriots performing better than they did last year. I don’t see a lot of potential in Mac Jones, and I would not even be surprised if I see some regression out of Mac Jones this season.

  1. 49ers

The 49ers were a dropped interception away from the Super Bowl last season. I believe that Trey Lance will be a success in the future, but I am not sold on him being great right away.

  1. Saints

I have high hopes for the Saints this season. I believe they will make the playoffs. Depending on how reliable Jameis Winston is, and how well Michael Thomas plays I believe they could make a deep playoff push this season

  1. Raiders

I believe that the Raiders will be a very good team this season. Their only problem is that they play in the toughest division in football. Davante Adams will make this team better, but I don’t think it will be enough to make the playoffs.

  1. Eagles

I am a big believer in Jalen Hurts. I believe that Devonta Smith will break out this season, with A.J. Brown taking some of the load off of him. I think they will be able to just sneak into the playoffs.

  1. Colts

The Colts were a win against, the worst team in the NFL, the Jaguars from making the playoffs last season. They were led by, the best Runningback in the NFL last season, Jonathan Taylor, who I don’t see being as great as he was last season. I do believe that Matt Ryan is a slight upgrade over Carson Wentz, but I don’t believe that it is going to be enough to make the playoffs this season.

  1. Cardinals

The loss of Deandre Hopkins for the first six weeks is going to hurt the Cardinals this season. Marquise Brown will be able to replace some of what Deandre Hopkins brings, but I don’t think it will be enough to make the playoffs this season.

  1. Browns

Deshaun Watson’s suspension is the only reason that I believe that the Browns won’t be able to make the playoffs. If he was playing the entire season I would not have any doubts that they would make the playoffs, but I don’t believe that Jacoby Brissett will be able to lead the Browns into the playoffs.

  1. Vikings

The Vikings have the potential to be a playoff team this year, but I still don’t think their defense is good enough to make the playoffs. The addition of Za’Darius Smith will help their defense, but I don’t see him alone making enough of a difference to make the playoffs.

  1. Panthers

I believe that Baker Mayfield is a much better quarterback than Sam Darnold. But, the Panthers finished 2-12 in the last 14 games, and I don’t see Baker Mayfield making a big enough difference to make the playoffs. But, if Christian McCaffrey can stay healthy this season, then I could see them making the playoffs this season.

  1. Dolphins

I don’t believe that Tua Tagovailoa is the future of the Dolphins. Tyreek Hill is a star Wide Receiver, but I don’t think that Tua has the arm to take advantage of having Tyreek Hill, so I don’t think they will be able to make the playoffs this year.

  1. Commanders

I believe that Taylor Heinicke is a better Quarterback than Carson Wentz. I honestly believe that he is the 5th best Quarterback in the NFC East behind Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts, Taylor Heinicke, and Tyrod Taylor. So, I believe that the Commanders regressed from last year, and I don’t see them getting anywhere near the playoffs.

  1. Steelers

The Steelers have a star in T.J. Watt, but the offense is terrible, with the exception of Najee Harris. Last season their quarterback was Ben Roethlisberger, and even though he wasn’t great last year, Mitchell Trubisky is much worse.

  1. Seahawks

The loss of Russell Wilson hurts the Seahawks, but I do believe that it was the right thing to do for both sides. It gives Russell Wilson a chance to compete, while it puts the Seahawks in rebuild mode.

  1. Jets

The Jets are starting to turn in the right direction, but the injury to Zach Wilson doesn’t help. Their current starter is Joe Flacco, who I think is good enough to keep the team respectable, but even when Zach Wilson comes back the Jets will be nowhere near a playoff team.

  1. Lions

The Lions are starting to look like a team with a future. Amon-Ra St. Brown looks to have a bright future, and if Jameson Williams can come back from his ACL tear, I believe this can be the best wide receiver duo in the NFL. I still have my doubts when it comes to Jared Goff at Quarterback, but I believe the Lions will be a much-improved team this season.

  1. Bears

I don’t believe that the Bears got better this off-season. They didn’t do much in the draft or free agency. I believe that the Bears, even with a second-year quarterback, will regress once again this season.

  1. Jaguars

I see some improvement in the Jaguars. Adding Travis Etienne and Christan Kirk to the offense will make Trevor Lawerence’s job much easier than it was last year, but I still don’t see them being a very good team.

  1. Falcons

I see the Falcons as a boom or bust team. They have talent, in Cordalle Patterson, London Drake, and Kyle Pitts, but I don’t see them cultivating this talent into wins with Marcus Mariota at Quarterback, and one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

  1. Texans

I am not a believer in Davis Mills. The Texans are nowhere near a playoff team. I see them being one of the worst teams in the NFL once again.

  1. Giants

I believe that the Giants’ best player is their backup quarterback. This is not a recipe for a winning football team.

Mock Draft

  1. Jaguars – Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawerance is the best quarterback that we’ve seen coming out of college since Andrew Luck, Let’s just hope his career doesn’t end up like Andrew Luck’s. Trevor Lawrence may be a superstar right from game one. As long as the Jaguars don’t ruin Trevor Lawrence like the Colts ruined Andrew Luck this will be the greatest decision the Jaguars have ever made.

  1. Jets – Zach Wilson

I believe that Zach Wilson can save the Jets. He might not be the 2nd best player in the draft right now, but I see a lot of potential in Zach Wilson. With Mike Lefleur as the Jets offensive coordinator, I see Zach Wilson as a future superstar.

  1. 49ers – Trey Lance

Trey Lance is the biggest boom or bust prospect in the entire draft. We haven’t seen a lot of tape on him, and he plays against lesser talent than some of the other quarterbacks in the draft. He is a risky prospect to take, but he could be the best player in the entire draft, and I think that Kyle Shannahan can turn him into a star. And, with quarterback not necessarily being the biggest need for the 49ers, they can keep Trey Lance on the bench learning for as long as they want.

  1. Falcons –  Justin Fields

The reason I see Justin Fields falling to pick number 4 is that he plays for Ohio State. If he played for pretty much any other team and played at the same level I think he would be the 2nd overall pick. But, I’m very worried when it comes to Ohio State quarterbacks. Dwayne Haskins in his final year in Ohio state he threw for 50 touchdowns and 4831 yards. He did that in 14 games, Justin Fields played 8 games so if we adjust his stats to 14 games as Dwayne Haskins did he would have 3675 yards and 38.5 touchdowns, which is way less than Dwayne Haskins and he has been a bust as much as we’ve seen.

  1. Bengals – Penei Sewell

I can summarize this in one sentence. And that is that the Bengals need to protect Joe Burrow.

  1. Dolphins – Kyle Pitts

People believe that Kyle Pitts is the best Tight End prospect we’ve ever seen. He played 8 out of the Gators 12 games and had 770 yards and 12 Touchdowns. If we adjusted his stats to play the whole season he would have 1155 yards and 18 touchdowns. That one season would be better than Tony Gonzalez’s whole college career who was drafted with the 13th pick in the 1997 NFL draft.

  1. Lions – Ja’marr Chase

Justin Jefferson was the best wide receiver in the 2020 NFL draft with 1540 yards and 18 touchdowns. Ja’marr Chase didn’t play this year but, in the same season that Justin Jefferson had his great season Ja’marr Chase had an even better season with 1780 yards and 20 touchdowns. He should be a great Wide Receiver in the NFL.

  1. Panthers – Rashawn Slater
  2. Broncos – Caleb Farley
  3. Cowboys – Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
  4. Giants – DeVonta Smith

The Heisman Trophy WInner DeVonta Smith is Probably the best Wide Receiver in the Draft but, his small frame is scaring teams away from drafting him. DeVonta Smith is better than Ja’marr Chase is. But, Teams are willing to take a little bit of a downgrade if it means that that means they should have a longer career. If he doesn’t have injuries he will be the best wide receiver in the draft.

  1. Eagles – Jaylen Waddle
  2. Chargers – Christian Darrisaw
  3. Vikings – Kwity Paye
  4. Patriots – Mac Jones

The Patriots are still looking to replace Tom Brady, which is hard to do if you didn’t know. And, a lot of people believe that Mac Jones is the next Tom Brady. He threw for 4500 yards and 41 touchdowns which is great and all but, it was while playing with Alabama which just about any quarterback could win a national championship with. The only quarterback from Alabama that has ever succeeded in the NFL is Tua Tagloviola, and even that is still up for debate.

  1. Cardinals – Jaycee Horn
  2. Raiders – Alijah Vera-Tucker
  3. Dolphins – Terrance Marshall
  4. Washington Football Team – Patrick Surtain II
  5. Bears – Jaelan Phillips
  6. Colts – Teven Jenkins
  7. Titans – Trevon Moehrig
  8. Jets – Greg Rousseau
  9. Steelers – Kyle Trask

I personally think that Kyle Trask is a better player than Mac Jones but, I don’t believe that any team is willing to use one of the highest picks on him. He may slip to the 2nd round but I believe that he is a first-round talent. In the same conference as Mac Jones without the same talent around him. Kyle Trask only had 217 yards less than Mac Jones and he had 2 more touchdowns than him, not even including the fact that Florida played a game less than Alabama did. I would want to put Trask over Jones if it wasn’t for his 8 interceptions.

  1. Jaguars – Rashod Bateman

People will say that the Jaguars should take an offensive lineman here to protect Trevor Lawerance and I 100% agree with that but, I don’t see any more linemen coming off the board this early and I don’t see any more coming off in the 1st round and with the 1st pick in the 2nd round, I see them addressing that need. But, another need that the Jaguars need is a wide receiver target for Trevor Lawerance to throw to. Rashod Bateman could have been a top 10 pick if it wasn’t for him not playing this year. This should be a steal for the Jaguars.

  1. Browns – Joe Tryon
  2. Ravens – Micah Parsons

He may have been a top 10 player and the 1st defensive player off the board but, because of some off-the-field problems, I believe he will fall a lot. He could be the best defensive player in this draft if his off-the-field problems don’t get in the way.

  1. Saints – Azeez Ojulari
  2. Packers – Elijah Moore
  3. Bills –  Najee Harris
  4. Ravens – Terrance Marshall

32. Buccaneers – Zaven Collins

2020 NBA Mock Draft 1.0

1. Warriors – James Wiseman

James Wiseman may not be the best player available but he is the best Center in the draft and a Center is a position of need for Warriors. Having Stephen Curry at Point Guard, Klay Thompson at Shooting Guard, Andrew Wiggins at Small Forward, Draymond Green at Power Foward, and James Wiseman at Center the Warriors will once again be a title contender.

2. Cavaliers – Lamelo Ball

I know that that the Cavaliers have taken a Point Guard early in the draft the last 2 years in a row, but I believe that Lamelo Ball is the best player in the entire draft. Not including the fact that Darius Garland has not exactly been the guy they want as the shooting guard of the future. But, even if Darius Garland becomes an upcoming star Lamelo is 6’7” and can probably play Small Forward. All Lamelo needs to do is to bulk up a bit and he will be the next superstar.

3. Suns – Anthony Edwards – Mock Trade involving Devin Booker

Too many people, Anthony Edwards is the best player in the draft. I believe the Suns will trade involving Devin Booker, the 3rd pick, Jarrett Culver, and Josh Okogie. I am a big fan of Josh Okogie and Jarrett Culver (personally a Timberwolves fan) but, Devin Booker would complete the big 3 of D’Angelo Russell, Devin Booker, and Karl-Anthony Towns. giving the Timberwolves a playoff contender and giving the suns young assets to build for the future.

4. Hawks – Deni Avdija

He may be the best player in the draft but there have been other international players that were supposed to be superstars but have become busts in the NBA. I hope that Deni Avdija will be different than the other international players.

5. Pistons – Killian Hayes

Killian Hayes may also be an international player and Obi Toppin might still be available but, the Pistons already have a Power Forward in Christian Wood and the fact that Killian Hayes plays in the 2nd best basketball league in the world. I hope that Killian Hayes will be different than the other international players.

6. Knicks – Cole Anthony

The Knicks might be reaching a little bit by drafting Cole Anthony 6th overall and with Obi Toppin and Tyrese Haliburton Still, on the board, it is a surprise move by the Knicks but I think they will give Julius Randle 1 more year to prove that he is worth the contract that was given to him and will not take Obi Toppin. Now they could take Tyrese Haliburton but, the knicks need a scorer and Tyrese Haliburton is not a Scorer.

7. Bulls – Obi Toppin

Obi Toppin is a big man who can shoot the 3 point shot which is where the NBA is and the direction it looks like it will continue to go for many years. The only reason that Obi Toppin fell all the way to the 7th pick is that he is 22 years old already and he is not very good at rebounding only averaging 8.6 a game last season.

8. Hornets – Onyeka Okongwu

Onyeka Okongwu to many people is a top 5 Prospect but, he reminds me a lot of Mo Bamba (a hyped-up Power Forward / Center who was great at getting blocks in Collage and has a cool names). Mo Bamba did not end up as good as he was hyped-up to be but, he is still young. I hope the best for Onyeka Okongwu.

9. Wizards – Tyler Bey

It might be a little early to draft Tyler Bey but the Wizards are in need of a Small Forward. Tyler Bey might not be the young Small Forward that Isaac Okoro but, with John Wall coming back next season the Wizards need the most NBA ready Player and to me that is Tyler Bey.

10. Suns – Tyrese Haliburton

Tyrese Haliburton might have the best career of everyone in this draft but, he is not a great scorer. Even though he is not a good scorer, he is good at almost everything else. He needs to work on his scoring and if he can become a good scorer he will be a great player.

11. Spurs – Devin Vassell

Devin Vassell is not a very good offensive payer but on the defensive side of the ball, he is pretty good. Averaging 1.0 blocks per game which is really good for a Small Forward. He might not be the youngest guy in the draft (he is going to be 20 in augest) but he is not the oldest either. I belive he will be a good replacment for Demar Derozen.

12. Kings – Aaron Nesmith

Aaron Nesmith might have the highest upside of anyone in this draft but he also might be the biggest risk in the draft. He is a great scorer but besides that not much else but he is the best Small Forward available and the Kings need a Small Forward.

13. Pelicans – Vernon Carey Jr.

This is very early to a lot of people for Vernon Carey Jr. to be drafted ( many people think he could go as late as the 2nd round but he is the 2nd best Center in the draft if not the best. The only reason I have him going this late is because many people think he will go later in the draft than even 13. He will be one of the biggest steals in the draft.

14. Trail Blazers – Aleksej Pokuševski

Aleksej Pokuševski is a great player who will probably go later than 14th but, he is really good. the only problem he has is he is not a great shooter but if he can fix that than he can become a star.

Report: Patriots Sign Cam Newton

The New England Patriots have signed Cam Newton to a 1 year $7.5 Million deal. Once again, giving the Patriots a M.V.P. quarterback after a 3 months and 8 days absence with Tom Brady signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on March 20th. Cam Newton played in just 2 games last season after sustaining a foot injury. But, if healthy, Cam Newton will be a the replacement for Tom Brady that the Patriots need. Even if Cam Newton isn’t the replacement for Tom Brady that the Patriots need he will be a great mentor for Jarrett Stidham.

Where Top 5 2020 QB prospects will be drafted

Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow is a nominee for the Heisman trophy, he’s thrown a NCAA best 48 Touchdowns, and he is 2nd in the NCAA passing yards with 4,715. He is the best player on the number 1 ranked team (13-0) and SEC champion LSU Tigers. He is looking like the future of the NFL. He looks like the for sure number 1 pick and that’s why I think Joe Burrow will go number one to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa is a great talent but he only has one small problem… he is very injury-prone and his current injury ended Bo Jackson’s NFL career. He would be a top 5 pick if it wasn’t for his injuries. He threw for 2,840 yards and 33 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. Coming into this season Tua Tagovailoa was the for sure number 1 overall but because of his injuries, Chase Young, and Joe Burrow his draft stock has really plummeted and I believe the Oakland (Las Vegas) Raiders will draft him.

Justin Herbert

Justin Herbert looks like a top 10 pick. He throw 3,333 yards which is more than Tua Tagovailoa and Trevor Lawrence. He threw 32 touchdowns, which is 10th in the NCAA. He helped the Oregon Ducks go 11-2 and ranked 6th in the NCAA. He threw less interceptions than Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence. If he wins in the Rose Bowl that will help his draft stock. But currently I believe he will go to the Miami Dolphins.

Jake Fromm

Jake Fromm has had a great season. The only bad game he had was against LSU (which no one this year has beaten). The stats aren’t great (22 Touchdowns, 2,610 Yards, 5 interceptions, QBR of 75.1) But if you watch him play he is really good. The stats and the bad game to LSU will hurt his draft stock but I think he will be drafted by the New England Patriots and be Tom Brady’s successor in a couple of years.

Jacob Eason

Jacob Eason isn’t a super star and I don’t think he will be, but I believe he can become a Matthew Stattford like player. Jacob Eason doesn’t have the stats like Matthew Stattford, but he does have the talent. He lead Washington to a 7-5 season. Washington does have good receivers, but he throws good passes. They did beat the Utah Utes 21-7 and that was the best team they beat who are ranked 11th now but last week they were ranked 5th until they lost to Oregon. I believe Jacob Eason will be drafted by the Chargers in the 2nd round.

What teams will NFL 2020 QB Free agents end up on next year?

Photo by Binyamin Mellish on Pexels.com

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott is currently leading the NFL in passing yards with 4,122 yards. He is tied for 5th most passing touchdowns with 24 and he leads the NFL in most completed passes with 325. Yet, the cowboys are 6-7 and he has thrown 11 interceptions. But he is a good enough quarterback to receive a good contract and the Buccaneers have a lot of money to deal with. The Buccaneers don’t have a real good quarterback in Jameis Winston so, I believe they will sign Dak Prescott as a good replacement.

Philip Rivers

Philip Rivers is One of the Greatest Quarterbacks Ever. He ranks 6th in Touchdowns in NFL history with 394. This season has not been his best though. He’s thrown 20 touchdowns which is 12th in the NFL. Philip Rivers’ has thrown 15 interceptions which is the 2nd most in the NFL. The Chargers are 5-8. But on the other hand Philip Rivers has thrown 3,748 yards which is 3rd in the NFL. The best team the Chargers have beaten is the Packers (10-3). The second best is the Bears (7-6). The Chargers have a good replacement in Tyrod Taylor, and I don’t think Philip Rivers will be on the Chargers next year. The team I think Philip Rivers will be on next year is the Cincinnati Bengals. I think they will trade Andy Dalton, Draft Joe Burrow and have Philip Rivers mentor Joe Burrow.

Ryan Tannehill

Ryan Tannehill has been the surprise breakout player this season. (While reading the stats keep in consideration that Ryan Tannehill has missed 4 games while being benched to Marcus Mariota ). Ryan Tannehill is 23rd in passing Touchdowns with 15. Ryan Tannehill is 29th in passing yards with 1993. Ryan Tannehill is 1st in yards per pass with 9.8 yards per pass. He has the 3rd longest pass this season. A 91 yard touchdown pass to A.J. Brown. He has the 13th best QBR at 57.8 . He has the 2nd best completion percentage at 73.4 . Ryan Tannehill has the highest passer rating in the NFL which is 118.5. My guess is he stays with the Titans because he is the best quarterback the Titans have had since Steve McNair.

Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston leads the NFL in interceptions with 23. Going into week 15 this is already tied for 87th in NFL history. The most is 42 which was set by George Blanda who is surprisingly a Hall of Famer. Now I don’t think he is going to break this record with 3 games left but I think he will get in the top 10, but that’s not what we are talking about; we are talking about trying to figure out where Jameis Winston will sign and I predict he will sign with the Dolphins on a one year deal.

Marcus Mariota

Marcus Mariota hasn’t played an NFL snap since week 6 and I don’t think that’s changing anytime soon. With the Titans that is. His stats don’t look real good (1,179 yards) (7TD) but what matters is he can win games, right? Well this season he has only won 2 games as a starter which isn’t looking good for him either. He did make the playoffs once and won a game against the Chiefs. And that’s why I think he will sign with the Cowboys.
